Mark Werman, Managing Director, Wentworth Advantage
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Mark ‘saw the light’ and moved into human resources 30 years ago. In 1992, Mark completed his Master of Commerce degree in Human Resources (UNSW). In 1991, Mark was part of the establishment of the HR Consulting Division at BDO Chartered Accountants and Advisers and in 2002, he negotiated a management buyout of the division from BDO, becoming the Managing Director of Wentworth Advantage.
Today, Mark leads Australia’s largest association-specialist HR consultancy – with a team of human resource, industrial relations, employment law and work, health and safety specialists. Their goal is to protect the members of associations from legal exposure, penalties and fines associated with non-compliance with the myriad of workplace laws – and, to help connect employers and employees in the workplace. Mark and the team at Wentworth Advantage service and protect over 100,000 members of different associations around the country – including establishing and running the AVA HR Advisory Service since 2000.
